CPPC Publication of 2019 Pain Platform Follow Up Report
The Faculty is pleased to note the Chronic Pain Policy Coalition's publication of Chronic Pain: Patient Voice and the NHS Long Term Plan, a Follow Up Report of the 2019 Pain Platform meeting held in the House of Lords in June 2019. We would like to thank Dr Ganesan Baranidharan for representing the Faculty at this meeting.
We appreciate the acknowledgement of the Faculty's work in driving improvements to pain services through our publications such as Core Standards for Pain Management Services in the UK. CSPMS UK is a definitive reference source for the planning and delivery of Pain Management Services in the United Kingdom, developed in consultation with all major stakeholders across the Pain Management spectrum.
The CPPC have also noted the importance of measuring pain accurately, and the hope that our guidance on Outcome Measures, jointly published with the BPS, will improve patient care and benchmarking.
